1.Lectures Aura Luz Melis | Inside Outside
Arcam x Academy of Architecture Amsterdam
Arcam and the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture present 1.Lectures, a lecture series exploring the role of design in creating space for people and their fellow human beings in processes of transformation and development.
The lectures are moderated by architect, researcher and lecturer Katja Hogenboom.
To kick off the new academic year and the accompanying new series of 1.Lectures, Aura Luz Melis, partner at Inside Outside, will give a lecture at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture on Thursday, 17 September.
Born in Venezuela, Aura Luz Melis studied Architecture at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism in São Paulo. Since 2005, she has worked at Inside Outside—with a four-year interlude—as lead designer of landscape projects and masterplans around the world. Together with Jana Crepon, she became a partner at Inside Outside in 2016.
Inside Outside designs landscapes of all scales, distinctive interior interventions and innovative exhibitions. The studio engages in an artistic dialogue with its context, poetically connecting landscape and interior.
