During the Mijn Stad Tours, you’ll explore different neighbourhoods and stories in Amsterdam through the personal perspective of one of our Arcam guides. Their local knowledge, personal involvement and lived experience offer you an intimate glimpse into place you might otherwise pass by. After the tour, we continue the conversation together with the guide, reflecting on where we’ve been, what we’ve seen, and what it all means for the future of the city.

1. What does a socially green neighbourhood look like? Discover the urban greenery of landscape architect Mien Ruys in the Geuzenhof, through the eyes of guide and data journalist Gerlinde.
2. How is the city experienced by undocumented Amsterdammers? Join Elke and Teferi on a bike tour and learn about public perception, the right to exist and the history of Bajeskwartier.
3. Who is responsible for keeping a neighbourhood clean? Walk with and help guide Freek pick up street litter. Meanwhile, he will share insights into waste issues in a modernist high-rise district in Amsterdam Noord, and his project ‘Molenwijk Schoon’.
4. Amsterdam Nieuw-West: more than a garden city! Let guide Tayfun take you through the history of migration, segregation and a new generation shaping the modern city.

Each Mijn Stad Tour is offered once for free to the public. The date will be announced via the Arcam agenda and newsletter.

Tailored or group bookings:

All Mijn Stad Tours can be booked for groups on request (minimum group size: 10 people).

Group rates:

To keep the tours as accessible as possible, we offer two fixed rates:

• Standard rate: €15 per person (minimum group size: 10)
• Cultural rate: €10 per person (minimum group size: 10)
