Discover Amsterdam with Arcam’s architecture walks!
The city of Amsterdam is changing before your eyes, and you can experience it yourself. During Arcam’s architecture walks in the summer of 2026, you will not only discover the city’s newest areas and buildings, but also dive into Amsterdam’s recent history.
The walks are a perfect complement to the exhibition “From Model to Metropolis: Urban Development Amsterdam 1986–2026,” in which we take you through forty years of Amsterdam’s urban development using remarkable architectural models.
Walk through the development of Amsterdam, from the first eco-village to the newest park villas
The five neighbourhoods of 2026:
- GWL site – The first car-free “eco-village” of Amsterdam
- Museum Quarter – where classic and modern come together
- Oosterdokseiland + Arcam – From exhibition to reality
- Centrumeiland – Self-build island Centrumeiland
- Elzenhagen Zuid – Sculptural park villas in greenery
