National Slavery Museum
Amsterdam is getting a Nationaal Slavernijmuseum (National Slavery Museum). A museum that tells the entire story of the Dutch slavery past, as well as the time before and after. From as many perspectives as possible. A museum with a separate children’s museum and knowledge center, focusing on education, art, and research. The tip of Java Island has been identified as the preferred location. The city council will decide on the plan for the establishment and construction of the National Slavery Museum. The museum is scheduled to open in 2030.
