Designing beyond walls: Designing community spaces
Due to the growth of Amsterdam within boundaries of existing neighbourhoods, pressure on urban space is increasing. Spatial professionals and residents must seek inventive solutions, such as rooftop extensions or alternative forms of cohabitation. On April 4th, Barcam will engage in a short panel talk with pioneers in this field, exploring the importance of shared spaces.
Panel speakers include:
Lars Drijver (Development Manager at AM), involved in the senior complex Stadsveteraan in the Amstelkwartier
Mare Santema (Co-founder and Director of Usespace). Usespace focuses on optimizing space usage by innovatively combining usage functions.
Joanna Greve is one of the initiators and a future resident of the housing cooperative “Stroom” on Centrumeiland in Amsterdam. Additionally, she works for Cooplink as a policy officer to promote the housing cooperative movement in the Netherlands.
